Chiama ora

Casale Falchini, located just one kilometer from San Gimignano, in the province of Siena in Tuscany, covers about 40 hectares of vineyards, and additional areas dedicated to the production of extra virgin olive oil.

The old Casale, from which the area takes its name, was in the past a convent of friars. Thanks to its strategic position on the hill, it was able to enjoy the wealth of the lands that surround it.

The quality of the vineyard land

The production of the wines of the Casale di Falchini is based on the production of the vineyards located in the territory of San Gimignano. For white wines mainly the Vernaccia di San Gimignano is used, which has been grown on these hills not far from the tower of San Gimignano for over a millennium.

The soils of the vineyards around the Casale have a strong marine clay component, which is in fact supported by yellow sands and the many marine fossils of the Pliocene: the hills of San Gimignano were in ancient times submerged by the sea and it is this prehistoric and marine component that guarantees white and red wines with a unique and pleasant minerality.

Excellence in wine production

Riccardo Falchini gave life to the San Gimignano farm in 1964, thus planting the first specialized vineyards for the production of wines in 1968.
The new modern winery was created in 1976 with modern vinification processes and bottling plants were chosen.

For the past 50 years the Casale di Falchini has been exporting its products worldwide with great success: customers include the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore and many countries of the European Community.
The production of excellent wines has also been confirmed in the last 30 years with important awards and certificates, obtained in prestigious international competitions and among which there are the two Grand Gold Medals of Vinitaly 1996 and many more achievements after.
