Two Extravirgin Olive Oils are produced: the Laudemio and the Casale Falchini; both come to life, from agricultural excellence, and both stand out amongst the other products of the area.
Olive grove cultivation
Casale Falchini wanted to expand its production of olive trees in San Gimignano, so as to be able to offer its customers
an ever better product: for this reason, following the planting of new olive trees in 1986, the owners bought in 1989 more surrounding land, increasing the surface area of the vineyards and olive groves.
In fact, new areas have been created on the soil for olive trees, reaching a total of about 2200 plants:
they are the ones responsible for creating the extravirgin olive oils of Casale Falchini in San Gimignano.
The careful production of olives for a fine Extravirgin Olive Oil
The original production of extravirgin olive oil, already present at the Casale Falchini farm in San Gimignano, was completley destroyed by a sudden frost in 1985.
Right after in 1986 new olive trees were planted, choosing from different Tuscan varieties such as Moraiolo, Leccino, Frantoiano and Impollinatore: these are the plants from which Casale Falchini still today obtains its own extravirgin olive oils, known for their excellent quality.
